LADAMA Brings Global Rhythms and Latin American Sounds to Carpinteria Arts Center on November 5

Free community performance features music inspired by Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, and beyond CARPINTERIA, CA — The Lynda Fairly Carpinteria Arts Center invites the community to experience LADAMA, an internationally acclaimed ensemble of women musicians from across the Americas, on Thursday, November 5, at 7 p.m. as part of the ¡Viva el Arte de Santa Barbara! performing arts series. The free performance will take place at the Carpinteria Arts Center, located at 865 Linden Avenue. LADAMA brings together musical traditions from Brazil, Colombia, and Venezuela with contemporary influences to create a vibrant, genre-crossing sound. Blending traditional instruments, infectious rhythms, and original songs performed in Spanish, Portuguese, and English, the ensemble offers audiences a dynamic celebration of music and cultural connection. ¡Viva el Arte de Santa Barbara! is a collaborative community arts initiative that brings free, family-friendly performances celebrating Latin American music, dance, and cultural heritage to communities throughout Santa Barbara County. The series is presented through a partnership that includes UC Santa Barbara Arts & Lectures, the Carpinteria Arts Center, The Marjorie Luke Theatre, Isla Vista Elementary School, and Guadalupe Visual & Performing Arts Center. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and a reception with the artists will follow the performance. Community members of all ages are encouraged to attend and enjoy this opportunity to experience live music close to home.
