Beginner Ballet

A ballet class is a form of dance instruction that focuses on the classical ballet technique. Classes usually begin at the barre where dancers perform a series of exercises such as pliés, tendus, and relevés to warm up and prepare their bodies for the more demanding movements ahead. After the warm-up, dancers move to the center of the room where they practice turns, jumps, and leaps, often in a choreographed combination. The class is led by a ballet instructor who guides dancers through the correct form and technique. Ages 18+ Please wear tight fitted clothes, hair pulled back, and ballet shoes of your preference. Ballet shoes are recommended, but not required.
