- ➤ Food Share in Oxnard is launching a $50M Feeding our Future campaign to build a new 85,000 sqft facility on Mariner Drive, with groundbreaking expected in late 2026 or early 2027 and an opening projected in 2028 or 2029. The nonprofit has raised $33.3M so far (community support is still needed). Ventura County Star
- ➤ Hundreds attended Oxnard Police Cmdr. Scott Aaron's funeral and burial yesterday in Camarillo (he died in a hotel room in Orange County during training) as family and colleagues paid their respects. Ventura County Star
- ➤ Residents can vote for Ventura County’s best locally owned romantic restaurant, with the ballot featuring options such as Oxnard’s Ox & Ocean and The 1901 (the vote ends Feb. 6 at noon). Ventura County Star
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ California Realtors Association data showed Ventura County’s median home sale price reached $913,000 in December, up 2% from last year. Sales increased slightly from November with 280 homes sold and a stable market following years of rapid growth. Ventura County Star
