🚧 Accidents
On June 1 at 9:02 p.m., Oxnard police and EMS responded to a traffic collision at Ventura Road and Hill Street—an overturned Honda Accord that turned against a red light was hit by a Mitsubishi Eclipse, leaving the unidentified Accord driver with significant injuries in critical condition at Ventura County Medical Center and the Eclipse driver with moderate injuries at St. John’s Regional Medical Center.
🚨 Crime
Michael Gordon Butler, a 41-year-old man from Simi Valley, was sentenced on May 20 to four years in state prison for causing a fatal crash on December 25 that claimed the life of 23-year-old Coldren Kiblinger—he had pleaded guilty to gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
