- ➤ On Tuesday, Aug. 12, Ventura County Behavioral Health briefed the Board of Supervisors about the dangers of kratom—an unregulated substance linked to overdoses and deaths. Experts warned that kratom products marketed to youth may have unpredictable doses and urged a local ordinance to help protect residents. Vida Newspaper
