Local theater groups are set to bring diverse productions this fall, and Oxnard's Teatro de las Américas will present bilingual one act plays and a staged reading (Oct.
10-11). The season features musicals, classic plays and modern adaptations across Ventura County for audiences of all ages.
Local music fans can enjoy a diverse fall lineup at Ventura venues such as the Majestic Ventura Theater and Tony’s Pizzaria.
New West Symphony’s series kicks off Oct. 3 with Beethoven and Copland — a movie screening is set for Oct. 16 and Shaky Fest runs Oct. 17.
Gunhild Carling, a skilled multi-instrumentalist known for jazz and blues, will perform with her six-piece band at The Grape (2733 E.
Main Street, Ventura) on Friday, Sept. 4 at 8 and 10 p.m., inviting the audience to dress up for a festive musical celebration.

Ventura County officials said the FAA approved the 805 Air Mobility Test Range for autonomous aircraft testing over 500 square miles of airspace covering Camarillo & Oxnard.
The range, run by the Ventura County Department of Airports with the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, will boost local high-tech job growth.
