Starting Sept. 15, ongoing road work—including SR 33 from Oak View to Ventura, SR 126, SR 118 and SR 232 in Oxnard—is expected to slow traffic in Ventura County.
Caltrans and Ventura County have planned lane closures and pavement work through next week so local drivers should use alternate routes.
Port Hueneme Police Chief Michael Federico sued Councilmember Laura Hernandez for violating California’s anti-doxing law by listing his private address in a public filing—he seeks at least $280,000 in damages while Hernandez maintained her filing was standard and avoided involving the city. The two officials have a longstanding dispute that began with an earlier defamation suit, which Hernandez later dropped.
