- ➤ Santa Barbara Wildlife Care Network treated a juvenile California brown pelican found at Oxnard Shores on Sept. 25 after it showed wounds and a wobbly balance—staff are using fluids, antibiotics, and pain management to help it recover. The nonprofit is featured in the IMAX film 'Wild Rescue' which will screen Sunday, Oct. 5 at 3 p.m. at the Granada Theater to boost wildlife rescue awareness. Ventura County Reporter
